Typography involves font style, appearance, and structure, which aims to elicit certain emotions and convey specific messages. It is a very easy way to express ones thoughts, emotions and statements.

Barbara Kruger is an American Conceptual artist known for her combination of type and image that conveys a direct feminist cultural critique. Her works examine stereotypes and the behaviors of consumerism with text layered over mass-media images. Rendered with black-and-white, red accented.
I love her work as they are all based on statements, she helps show the world the issues in a very indirect yet direct way. Her chosen text statements are very bold, quickly catching a viewers attention, and helping understand the statement as it is simple yet bold. Another thing I like is the black and white photos in the background making the statement more of the centre of attention.
