Why do we take photos? What is the purpose of photographs? A thought I’ve constantly asked my self. Personally I think we take photographs to capture the good moments, leaving us memories to think and remind us in the future. Looking at a secondary source, Ingledew’s Loading pages 7-12, reflect the same thought, stating the importance of recording the special moments in our lives.
How important is technique?What personal and cultural value do photographs have? Photography holds a lot of personal and cultural value. As mentioned before, photography is a type of source one can hold their memories, photography can also be an expressive way people could use to express and reflect their feelings, thoughts and ideas. Photography can also be used to hold traditions in many cultures, having people express and advertise their traditions and cultures.
